March Luncheon

After two years of college, she changed her artistic focus to hair design and received her training in Iowa City. After graduating, Kathy returned to Des Moines to begin her career.

Kathy’s sincere desire to help clients present themselves with confidence, along with continuing education to hone her craft, have established her in the community with a reputation of integrity and skill. It’s that desire to provide the safest environment for her clients that led her to open her salon in August of 2020.

Her ABWA journey began in 2010 when a client invited her to lunch with business women as a way of meeting potential clientele. Kathy joined the West Des Moines Chapter and soon began her leadership journey on the Chapter Board. In 2019 she became the District III Vice President on the National Board of Directors.

Kathy credits ABWA and the balancing strategies she learned as a single mother in the professional world, with giving her the determination necessary to thrive during the pandemic. She has two adult daughters, Elyse and Natalie, and her granddaughter Zoe – the light of her world.
