MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Congratulations to our 2019 Protégé Recipients Kelly Keller and Emily Bakker!

The Protege Award recognizes a member of the chapter who has completed one year of membership in the Association in good standing within their second.  This member has participated in an activity to support the Chapter’s growth and perpetuation, as well as attended 10 meetings throughout the year, and recruited at least one new member.

The West Des Moines Chapter would love to send our sincerest thanks to both Kelly and Emily for their dedication to our chapter this past year!

Empowering Women through Educational Scholarships

Today’s scholarship recipients are tomorrow’s leaders.  ABWA members have provided opportunities for women to achieve their personal and professional best by championing educational opportunities through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund (SBMEF). Since 1953, SBMEF has awarded almost 18 million dollars in scholarships to more than 17,000 women. To learn more about available scholarships, go to sbmef.org.
